Morocco: Trekking in the High Atlas

Day 1: Origin - Marrakech

Welcome to Marrakech! Today is your arrival day, giving you free time to explore the vibrant city or relax in the cozy riad. In the evening, we will gather at the accommodation for an initial meeting, preparing for the exciting adventure ahead. Immerse yourself in the charm of Marrakech as you prepare for the journey.

Accommodation: Riad

Day 2: Marrakech - Imlil

After a delicious breakfast, we depart for Imlil. We arrive at the family lodge where we will be staying, surrounded by the beauty of the Imlil Valley. Take time to relax, have some tea, and get to know the group, the tour leader, and the guide who will be accompanying us. We will discuss the details of the upcoming treks. We end the day with a traditional Berber dinner, getting ready for the adventures ahead.

Day 3: Imlil - Toubkal Refuge

After breakfast, we meet at the accommodation to start the trek to Toubkal Refuge. We traverse stunning landscapes, facing a challenging but incredibly rewarding route. Upon arrival at the refuge, we enjoy a well-deserved rest and a comforting dinner, reflecting on the amazing mountain views.

Day 4: Trekking Ras / Timzguida

We start the day with a meeting at the accommodation, ready for the trek to Ras and Timzguida peaks. This day is dedicated to exploring these impressive elevations, offering us spectacular panoramic views. At the end of the day, we return to Toubkal Refuge to rest and have dinner, reminiscing about the unforgettable landscapes we saw.

Day 5: Ascent to Toubkal

After breakfast, we meet at the accommodation for the ascent of Mount Toubkal, the highest point in North Africa. The trek is challenging, but the view from the top provides a unique perspective on the Atlas and beyond. At the end of the day, we return to the refuge to rest and have dinner, celebrating our achievement.

Day 6: Trekking to Tamzoult Refuge via Tizi Aguelzim

After breakfast, we meet at the accommodation for a trek to Tamzoult Refuge, passing through Tizi Aguelzim. This route takes us through varied landscapes and offers incredible views of the High Atlas mountains. Upon arrival at Tamzoult Refuge, we enjoy a delicious dinner, reflecting on the day's journey.

Day 7: Trekking through Tizi n'Mzik to Imlil

After breakfast, we meet at the accommodation to start the trek back to Imlil, passing through Tizi n'Mzik. This day offers a gradual descent with charming views of the valley and surrounding mountains. We arrive in Imlil at the end of the day, where we share our trekking experiences and enjoy a well-deserved rest.

Day 8: Imlil – Marrakech

After breakfast, we meet at the accommodation for the journey back to Marrakech. Take time to relax and reflect on the adventure experienced. We arrive at the riad in the late afternoon, where you can either rest or explore a bit more of this fascinating city.

Day 9: Marrakech – Origin

Depending on your flight time, this day will be dedicated to preparing for departure. We meet at the accommodation to pack up and head to the airport, knowing that the memories of the magnificent High Atlas landscapes and our adventure will stay with us forever.
